PREORDER NOS Silver Plated New York Central Railroad Button Longflaps and Randos
Even though this is on the “in-stock” page to keep everything together, these are preorders that will take a month or two to complete. Orders open until June 1st. I have a lot of these buttons so they may return, but who knows when or in what form.
Like the title says, I got some beautiful new-old-stock New York Central Railroad uniform buttons, and I’m going to use them to do a few Modular Ramblonneur and Weekender Longflap bags! Features are the same as the standard ones, except on the rando bags the rider pockets have their cord closures replaced with buttons, and the longflap side pockets also are button closure (two per side.) Done in no. 8 duck, in grey and black, with gold cotton wrapped poly jeans thread detailing. It costs $6 per button for materials and labor over my normal designs. Weekenders have 4 buttons, flat side pocket randos have 2 buttons, and boxy side pocket randos have 6 buttons.
Weekenders are 18L regularly, 27L+ when expanded. The main compartment is 14.5” wide, 8.5” high, 7.5” deep, and they are 20” wide including side pockets. Read more about their features here.
Modular Ramblonneurs come in two sizes, but otherwise have identical features. Short is 11” wide, 7.5” deep, and 9.5” tall for a total volume of 13L, and the tall is 12” wide, 7.5” deep, and 11.5” tall for a total volume of 16L. In the photoset on this page, the example shown is a short model. Read more about all their features here.
Both bags are compatible with the Fancy Pouch, Removable Map Pouch, and Webbing Net Harness. The Weekender is also compatible with the Floating Webbing Net.
